
On June 6th, Precise completed its annual AS9100 audit. The audit consisted of an intensive four-day examination of Precise’s Quality/Business System. Employee interviews, document reviews and process assessments were used to determine Precise’s compliance to the AS9100 standard and progress against actions from last year’s audit. David Dinwiddie, Lead Auditor, from Det Norske Veritas, was supported by the Precise team led by Jerry Colombo, Jeremy Miller and Lynette Greer.
On April 14th, Jerry Colombo will become the new Quality Manager at Precise. Jerry comes to Precise from Spirit AeroSystems. With 25 years of progressive experience in Quality Management and Quality Systems in the aerospace industry, Jerry will bring strong leadership.
Increased Pentagon orders keep local companies busy
As U.S. troops mobilize for a possible war with Iraq, local manufacturers say demand for military parts has increased and the government is urging early deliveries on items. An electrical apparatus for a nuclear submarine, the tail fins for the JDAM or “smart bomb” and landing gear assemblies for combat aircraft are some of the military parts made in the Tulsa area.
